This Car Alarm Key Chain Video Camera is perfect for hidden surveillance, and
records color video with sound and still images without anyone knowing.
The Car Alarm Key Chain Hidden Video Camera looks just like a real car alarm
activator, though inside you will find a High Resolution color camera and
digital video recorder with audio sound that is activated by a push of a button.
Operating instructions:
* Charge the device for 3 hours with the included USB cable to your PC.
* Press the ON/OFF button for approximately 2 seconds until the
yellow status light appears. You are now in stand-by mode.
* To Capture a video, press the REC button for 3 seconds. The
light will blink 3x, and will turn off. You are now recording video. To stop,
press the REC button once, The status light will turn back to
solid yellow. Repeat these steps for additional video shots.
* To take a photograph, press the REC button once. The status
light will blink once while it's taking the photo. Press the REC
button again to take additional photos.
* To turn the unit off press the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds.
* Connect to your PC with included USB cable to upload the videos.
Setting the Date/Time:
1. Open Notepad on your PC or Text Edit for Mac
2. Type in your current date and time as follows, for July 1 2009 2:15 PM type
2009.07.01 14:15:00
3. Save the file as SetTime.txt and drag into the camera drive while it's
connected to your PC.

Received this camera and accessory pack and it's great. Takes very good still images and the vid quality is much better than expected.
The instructions are nearly impossible to understand, but if you do a little looking online you'll find excellent resources on this cam (and its many variants) with "translated" instructions and a lot of other info. The best I found is here: [...]
Many of these cams seem to die quickly but mine is good for now. If it dies, I'll certainly buy another :)

[UPDATE]- Well my little camera barely made it a month before it died. Reset does not work, nada. It still gets recognized by my PC, but no longer shoots pix or vids. *sigh* I guess at this price what can you expect, right? I'm ordering another today :) Hopefully this next one lasts a bit longer.

I simply wanted to have a camera on-hand for those moments...
For daylight and indoor bright light this camera is really easy to use, and takes the still images I wanted as well as I could have hoped for in this tiny camera. "Spy camera" - well - unless you spy in bright light I don't think so...
But for those candid shots where you do not want to appear to be filming people, this is a comfortable alternative. For the price especially. It's also very easy to download photos: I'm no tech genius and I used Picasa or my "camera wizard" in windows.

I bought 3 different spycameras (keychain, pen, and lighter). Of the three, this works the best. The video is very good quality. The audio pickup is very good. The ease of use is very good. I've only had it for 1 week and have only used it 3 times but so far so good. I recommend this to others. As a matter of fact, I will buy myself a second one of these. Good buy!

I've had this product for over a year. It was pretty good when I first got it. But after a year, the quality has become horrible. First off, there is a high pitched squeal during the entire recording. Sure it still records voices and other sounds, but the high pitched squeal is louder than the voices. When you turn up the speakers to hear the recording better, you end up blaring the squeal which overshadows the actual voices. Secondly, no matter how much light is in the room, the video always has a redish tint to it. Almost as if someone had turned on the a lamp in the room with a red light bulb. It didn't used to be that way. It worked fine the few times I used it during the first 12 months. But now, it's virtually useless. So, keep in mind that this thing is fun for a while but it will quickly die on you.
