| Customer Reviews: Great design alternative December 23, 2009 Dave B (Tampa, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The idea of inflatable hangers for travel is great. The intent is to hold open shirts so that airflow can get inside to help them dry faster. The main problem with the standard design is that they are typically very difficult to inflate and deflate and they don't work well with anything other than shirts. The Travelon hanger offers an alternative design that we consider a major improvement. The hangers inflate and deflate easily and there is a bar with 2 clips at the bottom that lets you hang other laundry items to dry. We've ordered more to replace our original travel hangers.
Excellent for pants September 18, 2009 Mark S. Kramer (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I recently traveled to Italy and purchased the Travelon hangers. They didn't take up much space in my suitcase and made it easy to hang dry my pants after laundry and after getting drenched in the rain.
Serves its purpose well April 10, 2009 D. Schleman (Austin, TX United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this set of 2 to travel to Italy and they pack pretty well and are sturdy, thick plastic, so you don't need to worry about puncturing them. They were a little hard to blow up and deflate because you have to bite or squeeze the valve to allow the air in or out (a lot like a beach ball), but they stayed inflated and didn't have any weird edges to make the clothes dry strangely. I didn't try to dry any pants on the lower rung, I only used them for shirts. A really wet pair of mens jeans might make the hanger flex to not hold its shape. Overall, I was pleased and will use them again.
Looks like a winner! April 23, 2010 S. Mitchell (Tyler, TX United States) I both these and agree, until I cut the plastic inside the blowhole I could not blow these up. I carefully but thru with a pair of sharp pointed scissor sand now can blow up these hangers. My old eyes, however didn't see the bottom had hooks instead of clamps. I wish there where clamps because not everything can hang from hooks to dry.
Almost impossible to inflate! June 8, 2010 GourmayGal (West Grove, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like another reviewer, we took these hangers to Italy, and they worked great -- once we got them inflated. It was a true fight, because the material sticks to itself after being tightly packed in a suitcase. I hadn't read the review about opening up the mouthpiece with a scissor before purchasing the item. For future use, we will have to purchase a small hand pump.
